Zeiss Ikon Contessa (533/24)

This camera has been unused and in storage since the late 1950’s, the last still camera of a photographer father who passed away at a young age.  It is pristine, everything looks and functions as it did on the day it left the factory.

Fit and finish is exceptional, even compared to my favorite Kodak Retina I type 126. The rangefinder is interesting in that it is, internally, helically attached to the focus ring. There are wonderful small touches, like the support stand at the rear of the camera and the screw in cap on the tripod mount.
