The Fujica Half is a handsome and quasi-compact camera, though not quite as small as some of the Olympus offerings like the Pen-F and Pen-EE which it was introduced as a response to. It is similar in style to the Canon Demi EE17 though the Fujica has a slower lens. The Fujica Half 1.9, introduced two years later, rectified the shortcoming.

The Half has a decent Selenium Auto Mode which selects a coupled shutter speed and aperture for the best picture.
