Sears Tower 45 (Nicca 5L)

This is the Sears Tower 45 (or 46 depending on what lens shipped with the body). Unfortunately I do not have the original lens, so it is paired with a Canon Serenar f1.8 50mm.

This camera is the same as the lever-wind Nicca 5, sometimes called the 5L. As such, construction and hand feel are very good, though I prefer my barnack-style Canon rangefinders.

The rangefinder patch is fairly bright, and controls are snappy. One complaint is the location of the flash sync which makes it easy to scratch eyewear. Just as on many Leicas the back has a panel that opens to facilitate film loading.

The manual can be found here.
