The Arette 1C made by German manufacturer Apparat & Kamerabau in 1957 has surprised me. It is a more solid shooter than expected and aside from a couple of quirks, well designed. The rewind knob release mechanism and shutter release location (beside the lens) are fun oddities with this camera.
