This is the La Rose Rapitake, a neat vertical oriented viewfinder camera that takes 35mm film in special “rapid” cassettes. The body is all-metal with an advance, shutter-cocking, and shutter firing plunger very similar to that on the Whittaker Micro.

The rapid cartridge in this particular camera is from Ansco. The paint on this camera is chipping, but will be left as is.
Once another cartridge is sourced, I will attempt to run film through the Rapitake. It’s design makes it difficult to ascertain whether or not the shutter fires properly, but all indications are that it does.
