Fujica Compact Deluxe

This is the Compact Deluxe, manufactured in 1969 by Fujica Optical of Japan. Though not the prettiest example, this camera is one that I enjoyed shooting with and look forward to running more film through.

The Compact Deluxe has some features not normally seen on other fixed lens rangefinder cameras. The rangefinder patch is bright and clear, the Fujinon f1.8 fast and sharp, and focusing is done with a thumbwheel on the back of the top plate.

Though the images below came out ok, it is clear that either the auto-exposure is inaccurate or shutter speeds are slow. The next round of film will be shot manually to ascertain which issue is evident.
